People from lower socio-economic backgrounds often face barriers which prevent them from entering the legal sector. We’re breaking down those barriers. This Open Day is about increasing awareness of the need for diversity in law, and giving those from low income backgrounds the confidence to consider a career with us. Like all our Open Days, it includes interactive workshops and practice group overviews, along with application tips and a chance to network with inspiring people at the Firm.
We’re aiming to help those with disabilities overcome the fears they may face when applying for graduate roles. We’ll give you handy application tips, there'll be a dedicated session on wellbeing, and just like at every other Open Day, you can take part in interactive workshops and practice group overviews.
Named as Best International Law Firm for Women three years in a row, Baker McKenzie is committed to championing women in the workplace. You’ll hear more about our global targets to achieve a workplace that’s 40% women, 40% men and 20% flexible (women, men or non-binary persons) by July 2025. Of course, just like at every other Open Day, you can get involved in interactive workshops and practice group overviews. We’ll give you application tips and you’ll network with inspiring people at the Firm.
Approximately half of our graduates have no prior background in law. So if you’re a non-law student considering a career in the legal sector, you might be wondering how to go about this. We aim to answer some of your questions and show you how it can be done – as proven by nearly half of our Trainee Solicitors! Hear from some of them and get stuck in with interactive workshops and practice group overviews. We’ll give you application tips and you’ll have plenty of chances to network with our brilliant lawyers.
Studies have uncovered the disproportionate stress suffered by members of the LGBT+ community within the workplace caused by the feeling of having to hide their identity at work. We want to change that. Hear the stories of LGBT+ lawyers at Baker McKenzie and ask any questions you have. The day includes interactive workshops, practice group overviews, application tips and the opportunity to network with Partners, Associates and Trainee Solicitors.
