Coming to the Firm

Baker McKenzie is known for having an excellent commitment to diversity and this was one of the key elements of attraction for me. My very first experience of the company was through City Law for Ethnic Minorities and after that, I was offered a place on the Vacation Scheme. After completing the Scheme, I was offered my Training Contract and I’m now a first-seat Trainee in Corporate – Energy Mining and Infrastructure.

Highlight moments

Many of our clients are big household names and recently I was lucky enough to work with the experts here on a multi-million-pound construction project. Thanks to Baker McKenzie being a global business, there are real opportunities for working with huge clients on exciting projects.

Baker McKenzie encourages you to give back to the community and I have been involved with our firm's CSR activities, including organising our contributions to the Bethnal Green Legal Advice Centre.

Wan’s advice

Baker McKenzie appreciates students from all academic backgrounds. You don’t need to have a law degree to work here. You can use work experience from other areas of your life to demonstrate your skills. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly and because the office isn’t large and intimidating, you can get to know people on a personal level very quickly.

Now you’ve met some of our people, we hope you’re ready to apply. Alternatively, you can carry on exploring.
