What's your favourite place?

Film yourself there and you could win the chance to discover a new and exciting destination

At Baker McKenzie, we’re people first, lawyers second. That’s why we’re known as the global law Firm that brings a personal touch and a friendly approach to the business of commercial law. We know our people have a life outside the office. And we love hearing about where they’ve been. So we’ve decided to run a competition for you to tell us about your favourite place – a place which brings back special memories or where you feel at home.

We’re giving away STA vouchers for the top three entries, to help you discover a new favourite place! So next year you could be trekking in Thailand, sightseeing in Spain or sipping cocktails in Singapore. Third place will receive £500, second gets £1,000 and first place takes £1,500!

Closing date 24th of March 2017

How does the competition work?

If you’re thinking of joining us, you’re eligible to enter.

So go to your favourite place and take a photo of yourself there or record a short 30-second video on your mobile phone. It doesn’t have to be anywhere exotic; it could be your favourite coffee shop or a bench in your local park. We’ll want to know why you have chosen it, what memorable moments you’ve had there and how it connects to your life at work or your future career.

To give you an idea of what we mean, we asked a few of the Baker McKenzie team to film themselves. See them here:

Now over to you!

Posting your video/photo

step 1

Get yourself over to your favourite place. Then use your phone to take a photo or record a short video (no more than 30 seconds please).

step 3

Encourage your friends, families and colleagues to share, like or retweet it. The more they do, the better your chance of winning. You can see how you’re doing on the leader board below. We’re running the competition until 24th March 2017, when we’ll be celebrating the winner. So ask yourself: where could you be off to on your next international adventure?
